Arte Agave is a fun multi-sensory festival featuring a collective of fine tequilas and mezcal vendors, latin arts and entertainment. I remember my very first time like it was yesterday, but that was over 2 years ago. The event usually happens yearly, but due to the pandemic, the 2019 version went digital, and curated a virtual cocktail experience. The virtual experience had curated cocktail boxes via different spirit brands, cocktail glasses, fresh/dried fruits and other little trinkets to DIY a drink over zoom with other cocktail lovers. I participated in the virtual experience, but I must admit it wasn't the same as it were in person the year before.
Fast forward to late summer/early fall 2021, and Arte Agave is back with in person events, and I couldn't be more excited. The experience will splash across four cities, and my city, New York was up first. I attended the NYC event at the Bowery Hotel, and as per usual, there were lots of tasty, and high quality tequila & mezcals to be tasted. Some vendors served their spirits straight, and others in a cocktail form...um yes please. There were delicious bites, special performances, and cultural arts on display for guests to enjoy.
