If you've heard Ciara's hit single "Level Up" from last year, you would have suspected that there was an album to come within the near future. Well wait no more, because last month (May 10th), Ciara dropped her new album "Beauty Mark." The album has 11 tracks featuring guest artist Kelly rowland, Tekno and Macklemore.
To help spread the buzz, youtube hosted a listening session with a select group of fans; the singer sat down with host Angie Martinez to share some of her personal stories that helped shaped the album. The gist, it's her struggles and challenges she has had to go through in life that led her to this point in her personal and professional life, stronger + happier. Thanks to her husband, she has accepted that those moments in life weren't scares/flaws, but "beauty marks," hence the title of the album.
Throughout the interview, the fans listened in on some of the tracks, and watched the music video to "Beauty Marks." In the video, Ciara shared personal footages of her wedding, and of her giving birth to her second child. A heartfelt tribute to the life she had prayed for, and now truly love. Thankfully blessed.
If you haven't peeped the album yet, give it a go asap. I'm currently streaming "Beauty Mark" on spotify, and besides "Level Up, " "Trust Myself" and "Thinkin Bout You" are now another favorite on the album.
