Court Street Tavern offers a wholesome vibe that spreads across being a family friendly eatery, to being a trendy brunch and happy hour destination between surrounding areas like red hook, and park slope. The restaurant has been opened for a year now, and is located on the corner of 4th pl and court street which makes it twice as visible by way of decor. The exterior is draped in faux flowers (be prepared to snap a picture) with sidewalk dining areas, and a seated garden like ambiance more inwards behind the street side walls. This inner garden area became a ice ring last year as a way to bring the neighborhood back to having something to do with kids. And of course for the warmer weather back to being a curated seating area with oversize table games like jenga, and connect 4 for entertainment, complimented with sport TV screens. Think bryant park lawn, ice ring during winter, lounge/picnic during summer.
For this restaurant feature, I sat in the garden with one of the connect 4 games, and tasted a few of their popular dishes and signature cocktails. Our waitresses heather and alisandria started off with the court street spritz, compared to others, it tasted ok. Next was the mezcal negroni, not a fan of negroni but this wasn't too bad. It had a good balance of sweet to cover the bitters. For the food, we started off with the court street steak and eggs in a brioche bun, this was a different approach to steak and eggs, but nice. Then came the disco waffle fries, this was guuuud. Highly recommended as a brunch bite, or happy hour munch with drinks. And of course, the kids will love it too. Next was the the strip steak & potatoes, and the rigatoni with Sunday sauce with a side of cucumber salad. The last two drinks tasted were the hell fire, spicy...delicious, and the hazelnut whiskey sour.

----you taste the hazelnut towards the end, like an after taste...also taste like honey
HELLFIRE
jalapeño infused blanco tequila, lime, agave...mezcal
--- this was so delicious, highly recommend.
MEZCAL NEGRONI montelobos, campari, sweet vermouth, orange twist
the VIBES
Overall, Court Street Tavern is a great place in Carroll garden Brooklyn to check out. The garden area is designed to entertain family and friends with games, and TV screens while the weather is still nice out. And of course inside dining is available as well.
