STUDIO 189 | By Rosario Dawson & Abrima Erwiah
•
Studio 189 is a fashion lifestyle brand co-founded in 2013 by Rosario Dawson and Abrima Erwiah. The brand is artisan-produced from Africa, which means the pieces are handmade with quality craftsmanship. The brand works with artisan communities to produce the garments using natural resources such as dyes, organic + recycled materials. In working with the communities, Studio 189 empowers women, and encourages skills & educational growth.
During NYFW, the brand's spring/summer 2020 collection focused on "Heritage" emphasized with bold colors, embroideries, and mixed patterns. The ladies cast the show with a diverse group of models rocking African inspired looks in pairs/couples, along with individual men & women ready-to-wear looks.
The fashion show was held at Spring Studios, with a musical and dance performance by JoJo Abot.

NOLCHA Shows | Designers 3ZM X Luyang By Yanglu...
____
For the NOLCHA SS20 designer showcase, 3ZM x Luyang by Yanglul started the day with their collection inspired by the "Chinese medical classic book, Compendium of Materia Medica." The two brands collaborated with their respected views on space and style, infusing the collection with modern aesthetic elements of design. The collaboration brought us soft & bold hues, and mixed textures with oriental designs. Hair and makeup were provided by ECRU and the Academy of Freelance Makeup.
I've always loved attending the NOLCHA shows, and this time around it was just as pleasant as before. Below, you'll find a few snaps of my favorite looks from the show for ss20. .visit site
