NYFW FW22 | 11 Honoré - DEITY New York - Negris Lebrum

Updated: Feb 22, 2022

As New York Fashion Week adjusts to the new norm of COVID protocols, off-site locations and onsite location at Spring Studios in Soho New York looked a lot fuller with new + returning fashion week enthusiasts and industry attendees for FW22. Spring Studio hosted a handful of onsite presentations, live runway shows, black in fashion (designers) showrooms, and fashion talks like "The Art Of Rodarte." The official NYFW schedule included design brands like 11 Honoré, DEITY New York, and Negris LeBrum (for which I was able to attend in person) along with many other heavy hitters in fashion. Since I'm all about sharing my lifestyle experiences on this platform (in this case a few live fashion showcases) with you, below are my favorite edits from their collections, hope you'll find inspiration you can add to your ready-to-wear wardrobe.

11 HONORÉ

Plus size brand 11 HONORÉ returned to New York Fashion Week with a collection that's sure to bring casual elegance to the wearer in all the right places/curves for any occasion. Design director Danielle Williams-Eke's vision for her pieces from paper to runway was inspired by Joy. As the models strutted the runway in the charming spring place restaurant, we saw just how joyous wearing the collection can be with abstract prints like the aaliyah dress, to vibrant hues like the cinnamon wynn shirt and hot pink top.

After the show there was an after party....well a party within a party. Drinks and good vibes flowed, and just when things couldn't get any more grand.....I met Maye Musk 😳. ..Um....are you kidding me right now (then) ?! She was very nice, and was totally down for the photo opp picture below.

DEITY New York

New York designer Renee Bishop presented another timeless collection for her FW22 presentation of DEITY New York at spring studios in the Sunken living room. The brand showcased tailored suits that can be worn from day to night with the right accessories, fitted dresses for a night out on the town like the red thin strap mini dress, and blazers...textures of sequins, hues of red and shades of fushcia. As guests rotated around The Sunken Living Room, you can spot the different reactions of "oohh's and aahh's" regarding the design pieces. Glasses of champagne and small bites were being served....there was a shrimp and chicken salad bite that was just delicious. After viewing the presentation, I was able to snap a pic with the woman (designer) behind the designs.

Negris LeBrum

"Black IS Beautiful" is the title to Negris Lebrum's FW22 collection. The brand is known for its sophisticated approach to highlighting the feminine aesthetics in any given piece, from a simple bottom/top to a more styled and refined outfit. Ever since I've been introduced to the brand, I've always loved attending the shows and seeing how the pieces are curated to flow throughout the collection on the runway. Ever so effortless and elegant. Now 10 years in the fashion game for NYFW, the black is beautiful showcase is said to be a rebirth to the brand's essence that celebrates the modern woman. Earth tones, black & whites, blues & greens adorned the models with textures of sequins, tweeds, fur and vegan suede.
